We are on the lookout for several people with relevant experience who can contribute in different ways to our current growth plans, including in the following roles:
Electronic test and process engineer
Join our engineering team to help design, develop and enhance the test plans for both the electronic and firmware elements of our flagship NFC reader products. You will work with our seasoned R&D team to learn about our technology and liaising with manufacturers and suppliers to improve quality and reliability, as well as helping with other tasks such as component sourcing, process automation, production planning and certification testing.
Procurement and supply chain manager
Take over the complete management of our component sourcing and supply chain, both for products that we manufacture ourselves and also finished items purchased for sale through our distribution business and e-commerce channels. We stock and supply a wide range of electronic items from many different suppliers around the globe, and we also procure all components and use UK-based contract manufacturers to assemble our own devices. We are looking for someone to join our growing team and who can bring their knowledge and experience across these different areas as well as production planning, MRP and quality assurance.
Pre- and post-sales tech support
Become a go-to expert in our products – especially our VTAP mobile wallet NFC readers, and help our customers get started with our technology. You will be dealing with customers across the entire spectrum of abilities, from newbies to seasoned developers and electronic engineers, and from start-ups to major multi-nationals, based all over the world. You will also act as technical liaison between our customers, sales people, product management, R&D and outside partners, including Apple and Google, and will contribute to the overall development and enhancement of our product range, capabilities, documentation etc.
Take full ownership of our VTAP NFC reader range from a technical product management perspective. Define product roadmaps, feature sets and future product strategy. Liaise with sales, marketing, R&D, production and technical teams to ensure that all documentation and product collaterals are developed and maintained accurately. Work with Apple and Google on product enhancements and certifications, as well as with test labs for radio and emissions certifications. This role will also involve helping to manage hardware and software releases as well as various customer-facing activities, competitive research and pricing strategy.
Join our growing in-house production team to help program, test and build our hardware products. We do this ourselves to provide maximum flexibility to our customers, since many items are customised to suit their needs. This job would be suitable for anyone with a background and interest in computerised hardware and/or electronic product assembly, aged from 16 up, and with an eye on quality and repeatability. Although this role does not require the use of a soldering iron, since our electronics are assembled elsewhere in the UK, this would be another useful skill for occasional re-work!
